Located on Main Street, we’re the perfect spot for families, friends, visitors and your Prossy Posse to gather over good food and great conversations.
Our menu showcases seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with plenty of seating options and a whimsical play area for little adventurers.
Inspired by the magic of Alice in Wonderland, our café blends community, creativity, and a touch of wonder—because every visit should feel like stepping into a story.

About the Founder
Every great story starts with a dreamer, and Jameela Walker is the Alice of this adventure. A mother, an Occupational Therapist, and now a cafe owner, Jameela imagined a space where everyone feels at home. A place where laughter, play, and delicious food bring people together.
Originally from Sydney, Jameela fell in love with the warmth and charm of Proserpine and moved here with her family and mobile OT practice. Known for her purple and pink hair, her bubbly personality, and her deep belief in the magic of play, she wanted to create a space where connection happens daily.
Her fondest memories are of gathering in cafés, sharing food, conversation, and laughter with loved ones. Inspired by those moments, she envisioned Bright Patch Café as more than just a place to eat. It’s a community hub, a space where locals and visitors alike can share in the joy of good company and great food.
But the story doesn’t end there. Behind Bright Patch Café, you’ll soon find Empowering Kids Therapy, her Wizard of Oz-themed OT practice—another dream soon to be brought to life.
The themes? Inspired by her son, Will, who saw himself as a dreamer and explorer, and his mum as Alice.
